Dates Finalised !!

Dear Readers,

Due to certain problems with the host machine at our end, we were unable to update our blog regularly. The glitch has now been fixed and The North-East Students' Forum is pleased to announce that the date for our fest has been confirmed. The 28th of February 2009 will see the "Breaking Barriers, Bridging Cultures" concept put into practice.

Since we are a student body trying to showcase our culture to the denizens of Karnataka; Bangalore in particular, and due to certain legal requirements, we have decided to charge a token amount of just Rs.50 as Entry Fee.

For tickets and other details please call or text: 9845011510 / 9886907256 / 9741127959 / 9986715492 or email us at footprints.sjc@gmail.com

Appeal For Sponsorship

Dear Readers,

As you already know, The North-East Students’ Forum (NESF) of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), organized a North-East Fest on the 23rd of February 2008. The Event was a major success with over 2,500 people in attendance. Last year, the event was possible due to the contributions made by several sponsors including Mr. Dorjee Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. The other sponsors included:

1. Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited (A Govt. of India Enterprise)

2. Western Carriers, Kolkata

3. DNA Agrotech Private Ltd., Assam

4. Shree Ganesh Trading, Assam

5. Meghalaya Lime and Mineral Industries, Meghalaya

6. JBB Lime Industry, Assam

7. Progressive Chemicals, Assam

8. Kinjal Bearing Pvt. Ltd. , Assam

9. Birla Insurance Advisory and Broking Services Ltd., Bangalore

10. Pashupati Mercantiles Pvt. Ltd., Assam

11. Laxmi and Narayan Construction Co. , Assam

Individual Contributions made by Mr. Imkong L. Imchen from Nagaland and Mr. and Mrs. Estevez from Bangalore was also, much appreciated.

Being a student body, NESF does not have the required funds to organize a Fest on a big scale and therefore we appeal to the readers of this blog to kindly support us through financial and/or other means. Please feel free to contact us.
